About this tool
Detects invisible Unicode characters that get pasted along with text — zero-width spaces, soft hyphens, BOMs, bidirectional overrides, tag characters, and non-breaking spaces. Often used in plagiarism cheats, prompt injection attacks, and accidental copy-paste from PDFs or LaTeX. Each detection shows position and Unicode code point, and a cleaned copy is one click away.

How to use

Frequently asked questions
PDFs often inject soft hyphens, zero-width spaces, and non-breaking spaces around line breaks. They are invisible but break grep, regex, search-and-replace and word counts.
They can be used for plagiarism (to defeat similarity checkers), watermarking text, prompt injection in AI inputs, and homograph-like attacks. Most legitimate text does not need them.
Yes. Cleaning only removes the documented invisible code points listed above. Emoji, accented characters, and multi-byte glyphs are preserved.
They are replaced with regular spaces, since they look identical but break word-wrapping and word-by-word parsing.
