The Media bundle gathers image, video, and audio processing tools — conversion, compression, EXIF, format change, meme generator, screenshot mockups, favicons, OG-image generator. Where possible, processing happens in-browser; heavier transforms (video re-encoding) shell out to a server queue.

Image tools: no — they run in-browser via canvas / WebAssembly. Video and audio tools may upload depending on size; the tool tells you which mode it's in.
Video re-encoding is computationally expensive — even short clips take seconds. Browser-side ffmpeg-wasm is great for short videos; longer ones queue server-side.
Format conversion is lossy by definition for JPEG and most video codecs. Tools default to high-quality settings; pick lower quality only when file size matters more than fidelity.
